**Cover Reveal** Because of Ellison by MS Willis

Blurb:

When I was nineteen years old, I lived for sex, drugs and a good party. I had it all - good looks, a fast car and a hot girlfriend. Nothing in life was more important.

That was, until I met Ellison James….

Since the moment I first saw her she was a raging bull; tackling me in the mud and throwing out insults as fast as her tongue could form the sound.

She was snarky
She was rude
And she pissed me off like no other woman could.

I lived beside her for a summer and in the three months that I walked by her side...

She opened my eyes
She changed my life
And she made me a better man

here's the GR link

Excerpt #1 -

I inched closer to her and noticed the bed dip as she moved to sit beside me. “El…right now, you’re obviously hurting and I’m not going to let you hurt alone. You say what you need to say. Pretend I’m not here. Pretend there’s nothing to hear you. I’ll take whatever load you can’t bear and I’ll carry it out of this room when I leave. But dammit, I’m not going to leave you here alone to bear it by yourself. So cry or scream or hit me. You do whatever you need to do. We’ll keep the lights off. You won’t see me, but I’m here for you to use me. Just talk El – don’t think of me as poor pathetic Hunter who needs to straighten out his shit. Just think of me as a way to let go of everything that’s hurting you.” I paused but quietly added, “You’ve been taking care of me since I’ve been here, El; please, for once – just let me take care of you.”

Angie J's Review:
I received this book from the author after my Twinsie Partner in Crime and i kept Pming her about how much we loved Hers.  We fell in love with these characters and NEEEEDED to read more.

So I must admit, I am in love with Star.  I really didn't care for Star in Seven's book.  I thought she was a shitty, mooching friend.....man was I wrong.  She is such an awesome person who has survived unimaginable cruelty and neglect at the hands of her "parents" and Seven's older brother.  I was really impressed with how Dawn was able to really help me SEE Star for the hurt person she is and really explain WHY she did alot of the things she did.  I felt so bad fro her because she was trapped in the same cycle of abuse until she decided to find her daughter.

Chrome is a bit of tasty on a bike.  Wow I kept picturing I was watching Sons of Anarchy.  I kept waiting for Jax to scroll on to the page and bark an order at him.  I loved hearing his story.  He is such a hard ass but boy does he fall fast and hard for Star.  He loves her for her , imperfections and all.  Isn't that true love?  to ba able to see someone with their flaws but find beauty in them anyway?  Well, I loved the support he offers her in form of a lover and friend.  He shows her how a "real" family can be and gives her a safe place to be Star...not Star the whore, Star the porn star, or Star the druggie....just Star.

So this book is all about Star looking for her daughter that she was forced to give up.  I will say when her parents talk to her about the baby, I was STUNNED!!!!  I also loved how Chrome just inserts himself in their lives and doesnt let Star argue.   I loved the holiday scene at the end.  I cannot wait to start Kink the Halls which is already opened up on my kindle!!

Oh one more "minor detail"....the sex was holy shit, panty melting, steamy, crack an egg on the sidewalk and cook it HAWT...just incase you were wondering!!!

Jo-Anna's Review:

So I got an ARC copy of this book by the wonderful Dawn Roberston. I think the begging finally helped. Lol! Angie J and I were both in love with Hers that we kept constantly messaging Dawn. Poor thing. So now, here is my review for Finding Willow.

First thing: I absolutely LOVED this book! It's probably one of my favorite reads of the Fall season and I can't wait to read Kink the Halls.

So I will be honest. I wasn't a huge fan of Star in Hers. I felt she used Seven and that really bothered me but by the end of that book, I felt bad for Star. I wanted to read her story and find out what truly happened with her and why she was the way she was. I knew going into Finding Willow that it would be a hard emotional read. We hear about Star and her drug addictions, her emotional battles, and her issues with Blue.

The book takes place in somewhat the same time line as Hers but you get to hear it in Star's POV and what she was going through. I really liked that. I enjoyed finding out what went through her head during the breakdown at Seven's apartment when Seven walked in and found her banging her brother and her boyfriend. In Hers, you know that Star feels guilty but reading the scene in Finding Willow, you find out just how guilty she feels.

Reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I felt so bad for Star and by the end, I truly loved her. I want to hug her, be a friend for her, a friend that she deserves. She may have made some crappy choices in life but she changes, for her new found family.

This book is also about Star finding her daughter, Willow. How that plays out is sweet. I don't want to give any spoilers but I really enjoyed how that ended and how Star got more of a family aside from just her daughter.

Blue...*growl* I can't stand that guy. I couldn't stand him in Hers but I couldn't stand him more in Finding Willow. You find out exactly what happened between him and Star and it's heartbreaking. I wanted to reach into the book and strangle him. He disgusted me but lets just say, he gets his in the end.

And can I tell you? Chrome?? Holy balls batman. I told Angie J that I claimed him! Definitely a book boyfriend to add to my list of many. He's a hot biker bad boy (reminds me of SOA) but he's also sweet and caring. When he comes back to Star for "more", you totally know he's smitten with her.

The sex?? Okay, the second sex scene on the bike is by far one of the hottest sex scene's I have ever read. I'll just tell you without giving away any spoilers that it involves sex with clothes on and a knife. Just thinking about it makes me fan myself. I loved it.

I loved this whole book. I couldn't put it down at all. I will definitely be getting this book in paperback when it's available and I can't wait to have this one on my shelves next to Hers. Starburst Bloom definitely deserves a spot on my shelf beside her bestie and I can't wait!

Great job Dawn and I look forward to reading more from you!!! xx

Remy By Katy Evans

Remy
Katy Evans

Synopsis

Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

Brenda's Review

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If anyone follows me on Goodreads, you already know how much I loved this book.  Seriously?!?!?  Who DOESN'T love Remy?   But hearing the story from his Point of view was just brilliant.  You saw all of his struggles with his feelings for Brooke.  How he was afraid of letting Brooke find out about his bi-polar illness.  And his true strength he had to keep it in control! Truly amazing.  He truly loved Brooke with all of his being!  He licked to show his feelings.  He listened and shared music to show his feelings.  He fought to win to show his feelings.  His life revolved around Brooke Dumas.  He did everything for her!

If you've read Real and Mine, then of course you will read this one!!  You HAVE to!!  It picks up towards the end of Mine at a very important part (no spoilers).  and then it looks back over both books (Real and Mine).  It is not a typical alternative POV story.  There are not a lot of repeated scenes.  New scenes, new lines, and new POV.  It really is a must-read.

Now go.........one click!!

 Angie's Review:

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

OMG RRRrREEEMMMMYYYYYY!  So I kinda got a major girl crush on Remy after reading Real but who didnt right.  After reading Mine I was more smitten then I thought humanly possible.  Now after reading his POV I am a mess.  I want to name my next child Remington and raise him to be the REMY!!

So what I loved about this book is how it is told.  Yes this is Remy's POV and yes we do see some of the scenes from Real and Mine but it is all fresh.  It is all new scenes and thought. I have to say that when I read the part of the book when Remy reads THE LETTER, I was a mess...snot sobbing and a mess.....wow I never would have thought that I would be so affected by this book but I was.

This book is a really quick read and I love how it is told in a flashback kind of fashion all the while the present has a major event happening.  I thought it was brilliant and I loved it.  I felt like Remy was talking us back down the path Brooke and him took to get where they are....sigh.......

If you are a fan of Real and Mine you cannot skip this book.  It completes the picture totally!!

My Today - HJ Bellus - Blog Tour

My Today
HJ Bellus

MY TODAY is book TWO in the My Way Series by: HJ Bellus

Synopsis:
Lacey’s Story…Covering up pain is easy. It’s keeping it tucked away that’s hard. I’ve always needed the cover of tattoos to hide the nasty past that leached its way into me, tainting me beneath my skin. Not the shiny, trendy tats, but the ugly broken kind, meant to keep the world at bay. If they weren’t enough, then my piercings, foul mouth and crazy hair usually did the trick. Life had taught me to never follow the rules, because when you do, you get burned.
That philosophy served its purpose, until I met someone who turned my life upside down. Milly, the little hoochie, stormed into my life and changed everything with her undying faith in me, her love and her shitty coffee concoctions. I found a family in Milly, and her sexy farm boy, Cree. She accepted me without hesitation, and never ran from the dark and dangerous secrets that I harbored. My new family loved me unconditionally, with their showers of sprinkles and impromptu dance parties.
My life was perfectly imperfect until Tripp and his crazy-ass ideas of princesses. Our relationship is what most would describe as fuel meeting fire. We were both hell bent on burning each other to the ground. Tripp, fresh out of rehab, moved in with Milly and Cree to try and make a new life for himself. Tripp, the sexy as hell, charismatic beast, soon became one of my best friends. We shared our love of ice cream and tattoos as we blazed our own path that could only lead to a beautiful train wreck. The only question left is, will we set the countryside ablaze with our hot tempers and foul mouths, or will we paint our own happy ending filled with all the gushy shit normal people crave?

Collide - Riley Hart - Review

Collide

And damned if he doesn’t find his old friend grew up to be sexy as sin. Coop can’t believe Noah—the only person he trusted with the guilt over his parents’ death—is back. And gay… Or that Cooper himself suddenly wants another man in his bed for the first time.

There’s no denying the attraction and emotion between them, but can they overcome the ghosts of their pasts to have a future together?

Jen's Review

I must say I loved this book. It is a story of self-discovery and coping with the outcomes of real life. We all know what it's like to have a BFF growing up. You know that one person who just makes life easy and your problems kinda go away when you’re with them. That is this story to a tee. Cooper and Noah have been friends since grade school always depending on each other. Then one day Noah just leaves and 17 years later, literally collides with Cooper once again. Once they connect, Noah tells him he is gay. Cooper just can't believe it. The shocker is he can't seem to keep his eyes off Noah and he's straight. WOW, the chemistry between these two was so off the chart. Noah, who refuses to ever hide, is secretly falling for Cooper but is afraid to take that jump. Cooper, the sexy fireman, just doesn't understand why his body and heart are telling him that Noah could be " it" .   Once these two finally take the plunge, the sex is steamy, sensual and romantic. I was fanning myself a lot. I loved Cooper discovering all of the aspects of having a relationship with a man. I felt the pain of loss that Cooper had experienced his entire life after losing his parents. I wanted to just hold him. The strength of Noah I admired as he became the constant once again for Cooper. There were times while reading this book that made me just want to shake some sense into Cooper for not trusting his heart and worrying about everyone else. I certainly wanted to punch Uncle Vernon a lot. I loved all the different emotions I felt while reading this journey of everlasting friendship and love. I would recommend you read this book if you want a sizzling hot book with two great guys.

"How it Began" blog tour for Kallypso Masters

Stop 8 Conflict with Luke—wanting him to take her
Welcome to the eighth stop in Kallypso Master’s “How it Began” two-day blog tour. Thanks for having me, Twinsie Talk Book Review.
If you’re just joining in, you can get a list of the tour stops in order at the following blog page : Ahh, Kallypso…the stories you tell
Now for another excerpt in the “How it Began” blog tour. Luke discovers something that makes his pursuing Angelina an impossibility in this scene in Nobody’s Angel. Marc’s trying to figure out what happened.

Marc’s gaze narrowed on Luke. Something had happened. Had he talked with the sheriff? Was there news about Martin?
He looked down at Angelina sleeping soundly and didn’t want to disturb her but definitely needed to know what was going on.
“Before you get too far into that bottle, help me get her to bed.”
Luke looked at him as if he’d asked him to pick up a coiled rattler. What was going on? Marc managed to swing his legs off the sofa and then lifted Angelina into his arms before heading down the hallway. He heard Luke following and waited for him to pull down the comforter and sheet so Marc could lay her in bed and cover her up. He stayed to make sure she didn’t awaken, but the flickering of her eyelids told him she was still in a deep sleep.
“Pleasant dreams only, cara.” He stroked a finger along the side of her face.
Marc turned around only to see that Luke had already left. He was going to get to the bottom of whatever was going on. Leaving her door open, in case she needed him, he walked down the hall, hitting the head for a much-needed stop after all the wine before returning to the living room. Luke had returned to the chair and poured a second glass of wine, which he downed swiftly. Had he even tasted the expensive Lombardy wine from Marc’s wine cellar? Then he poured another glass.
Merda. He’d never known his partner to drink to excess. Was Luke upset with Marc for holding Angelina? What was he supposed to do? She’d fallen asleep on him. Or was it… His lungs constricted painfully, reminding him of his recovery from the hemopneumothorax he’d suffered in Fallujah.
“Have you heard something?”
Confused, Luke cocked his head and leaned against the back of the chintz chair.
Marc was losing patience. “What the hell did the sheriff say?”
Luke nodded in understanding. “I just checked, hoping they’d arrested the bastard and we could leave. They found him in the ER—and she did break his nose, by the way.” Marc smiled, but Luke remained serious. “Served him with the protection order. Warned him to stay away from her.” Luke shrugged.
For now, their hands were tied unless and until Asshole violated the order. By then, it could be too late to protect her.
“She’s not staying here alone,” Marc said.
Luke sobered, well, his expression did. “We’re leaving in the morning.”
“She’s coming with us.” Even if she doesn’t know it yet.
Now just how did he plan to pull that off?
“No!” The wine in Luke’s glass sloshed over the edge and onto his fingers and his jeans. He placed the glass to his lips and drained it, then looked at Marc. “We’ll call her brothers. They’ll keep an eye on her.”
Like hell they will.
Marc needed to find out why his friend was trying to get drunk, which was totally out of character for him. Apparently, he’d started before talking with the sheriff’s department, so something else had happened.
Marc crossed the room and sat on the armrest of the sofa, near Luke’s chair. He hated to see his friend suffering like this. “What’s wrong, Luke? You’re hitting that stuff pretty hard.” Was this about Angelina? “Look, we agreed to leave it up to her to decide, but I told you I wouldn’t pursue her if you wanted her.”
Luke dangled the now-empty glass between his knees and waved his other hand dismissively. He shook his head. “No need. She’s all yours.”
What the fuck was he thinking? Luke never walked away from something he wanted—and Marc had no doubt he wanted Angelina. Marc had admired his persistence and determination. When he set his mind to something, he damned well achieved it. Of course, Luke hadn’t gone after a woman since his wife had died—until now. Maybe he was just scared.
Dio, she scares the hell out of me, too.
But Luke would have to be blind not to notice that Angelina had feelings for him, too. “Don’t you think she should have something to say about who she wants?”
“No. We…aren’t compatible.”
Marc would have laughed, if his friend didn’t look so fucking miserable. “If you were any more compatible, she’d have been jumping your bones, as you say.”
Luke raised his head to meet his gaze. The ache in his eyes squeezed the breath from his lungs. “That was before.” Marc came close to shaking some sense into him when he heard him say, “She can’t find out what I did.”
“What are you talking about?”
Luke shook his head in defeat and closed his eyes, laying his head in the crook of the wingback chair. He looked like he’d aged a decade since he’d pleasured Angelina an hour or so ago.
Marc stood and reached over to take the glass out of Luke’s hand and set it on the coffee table, then grabbed the blanket that had been covering Angelina and used it to cover his friend. Given how much he’d had to drink in such a short time, it was probably safer if he remained upright, so he’d let him sleep it off in the chair.
Maybe Luke would see straighter in the morning—if he wasn’t too hung over to see.
