Colonist's Wife by Kylie Scott

Colonist's Wife

Book Blurb:

It’s 2088, and having testified in a gangland murder trial, nowhere on Earth is safe for Louise. Witness Protection has organized a new identity and a marriage contract for her on the mining colony of Esther, one of the moons circling Jupiter. The man who meets her there is not the groom she expected.

Adam Elliot is neither sweet nor sincere, and he looks like he was hosed off a barroom floor. But soon a memorial service reveals Adam’s soft underbelly. Throw some stellar sex into the mix and the two decide that maybe marriage to each other might not be so bad after all.

But an assassin is already at work. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues on the planet’s frozen surface. Louise is determined to live long enough to draw the maniac away from the husband she might just have fallen for.

A Romantica® futuristic erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

Angie J's Review:

I was given this book by the author for a truthful review.

Sooo if any of you pay attention to my authors, you know I love Kylie right??  So when I say this book was delicious, you wont be shocked right?  *wipes forehead* SHEW!! This book is a great addition to her collection of stories.  Are their zombies you ask? *snaps fingers* not this time but don't worry it is a great read even without the zombies.

This novel is about "Louise" who is contracted to marry Gideon.  The planet that Louise is sent too has many more men then women available.  Louise and Gideon chat a few times and she feels like this guy might be OK plus "hide" her from her past.  She arrives on the planet to be told the drunken idiot who smells to high heaven and with bloodshot eyes is her new husband because Gideon died.  SOOOO not thrilled right?  Would you be????  She can't stand the smell of him so she walks way way way behind him *snickers* and wellllll Mr. Alpha Male takes her attitude as that of a snob. Crabby Adam names her "Princess" and not in a sweet way.

The two do find a connection and man is that connecting some fun reading!!  But if you read Kylie you know she writes good "connection" scenes :)  Well through the story you know that "Louise" has secrets.....major secrets but so does Adam.  Unfortunately, Louise's secret comes looking for her.  She has to do everything she can to try and save herself BUT mainly protect the man who has stolen her heart in 8 short days!!!

One of my favorite writing aspects of Kylie is her humor.  She always has snarky sarcastic humor in all her novels.  Her females are strong and soft.  Her males are Alpha and understanding.  In my opinion, and this is my blog so you are gonna hear it, she writes the perfect characters.

I have to say the last chapter was sooo good.  I was very excited with the little twist that Kylie threw in for us in regards to Adam and Louise's future.

*Guest Posting by Amee P* Black Dagger Brotherhood Lover Unleashed by JR Ward

Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9)

Book Blurb:

Few authors give readers such a “powerful rush”* as #1 New York Times bestselling author J.R. Ward does in her phenomenal books of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Now she returns to that fiercely intoxicating world in a new novel of a woman’s journey from terrifying enslavement to an erotic rapture that proves equally dangerous…

Payne, twin sister of Vishous, is cut from the same dark, warrior cloth as her brother: A fighter by nature, and a maverick when it comes to the traditional role of Chosen females, there is no place for her on the Far Side… and no role for her on the front lines of the war, either.

When she suffers a paralyzing injury, human surgeon Dr. Manuel Manello is called in to treat her as only he can- and he soon gets sucked into her dangerous, secret world. Although he never before believed in things that go bump in the night- like vampires- he finds himself more than willing to be seduced by the powerful female who marks both his body and his soul.

As the two find so much more than an erotic connection, the human and vampire worlds collide … just as a centuries old score catches up with Payne and puts both her love and her life in deadly jeopardy

Amee Review:

Lover Unleashed is the 9th book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It is the story of Payne, the twin sister of the Brother Vishous. Payne arrives on the scene a couple books back in Lover Avenged when the Blind King, Wrath, goes over to the "other side" and meets her. Wrath and Payne become sparring partners. Payne is not allowed to leave the sanctuary and Wrath is not allowed out in the field to fight so the friendship the two of them build is a win win for both of them. Wrath does not know that Payne is Vishous' twin sister which means he also does not know that she is the Scribe Virgins daughter. The SV has held Payne prisoner for centuries, never allowing her to leave the sanctuary. Wrath only finds this out at the end of Lover Mine when Payne suffers from a fatal injury during her sparring session and she will not allow her mother aka the Scribe Virgin to help her. Pleading, Wrath, convinces the SV to allow him to take Payne over to his side to get her help. Lover Mine ends with Vishous finding out he had a twin sister and she is in need of immediate help! At the start of Lover Unleashed,Jane, the Brotherhoods private physician and V's shellan, is not knowledgeable enough to help fix Paynes injuries. She knows someone who is, however, and she sets off to pick up her old collegue and friend Manuel Manello. Manuel aka Manny is the big man at the hospital and he is a pro at what he does, but after loosing Jane about a year ago his life has not been the same. When Jane takes him to help Payne he had no idea that his life is about to spiral into a totally new direction as he falls quick for her. But it will not be easy for these two, Manny after all is human and a human male can mean trouble for the BDB. But it is Manny and Manny only who will be able to help Payne and their journey is lovely with some twists and surprises included.
In Lover Unleashed a new group of Vampires is introduced into the series, the Band of Bastards. You are going to find out quickly that Xcor and his band of Bastards are not there to be nice and make friends.
Vishous and Jane are also a very big part of this book. Their relationship goes through some struggles, but what relationship doesn't. And the way they come through it is what makes them either solid or not.
This BDB book is shorter then a lot of the other books. There is not as many things happening in the background. Qhuinn and Blay are a small part of this book and you can see their story slowly evolving. While reading Lover Unleashed if you start to wonder why there isn't very much other story going on, remember that the next book, Lover Reborn, at least the beginning, takes place around the same time that Manny and Payne are meeting one another. As with all BDB books I loved this story and I think I feel in love with it even more this time around. I can't wait to see the two of them more in future books to come!!

Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder **BLOG TOUR**

Book Blurb:

I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way.
Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.

Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.

Angie E's Review :

This book was ……. PHENOMENAL, AMAZING, REMARKABLE, FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLE, and MIND BLOWING…….Now I’m going to TRY and do this review without spoilers but I apologize up front if I do an oopsie =) This book was SOOOOO crazy emotional. I has literally hit every emotion HUMANLY POSSIBLY in the first 25% of the book. I was hooked. If I read a book that leaves me emotional drained. It gets 100 stars from me . So chatting with Jasinda I know how much she worried over this book so I was a little bit hesitant going into it thinking she HAS to know what she’s talking about RIGHT? There must be a reason she is soooooo worried…… WRONG…YEP SHE WAS DEAD WRONG…. SORRY… LOVE YA JASINDA… but what was you worried about? This book has EVERYTHING. Ups, downs, trial, tribulations, first love, sweetness, kindness, tear factor ( MAJOR TEAR FACTOR) , death, turmoil, inner conflict, romance, adult love and SEX…. HOT HOT HOT SEX . Jasinda has many talents…. Writing SEX is definitely one of her top talents !

So this book like I said was emotional. Reading the first few chapters I was living the emotional roller coaster with the characters yet I was also taken back to my own first love, first kiss, first time. I had a nice walk down memory lane. I love that this book took me into my OWN life while being apart of the characters. I could easily understand why the characters acted, felt or did the things they did. I found myself smiling, laughing, nervous and excited for them knowing what lies ahead.

“… when you feel that kind of all-consuming need for someone, a person you’d do fucking anything for, no matter what? They’re in your fucking skin, in your soul, like the essence of who they are is imprinted on you so completely like the very air you breathe… That’s love.”

Nell Hawthorne is a typical teenager trying to find her way. She falls in love with her best friend Kyle Calloway. They are a typical teenage couple going through all the first together. Reading their part of this story is the SWEETEST thing. I loved the chemistry between them. They had their hole lives ahead of them and they were IN LOVE. Unfortunately tragedy strikes and leaves Nell emotionally disturbed and broken.

“And now we’re learning how to fall in love together. I don’t care what any one else says. I love you. I’ll always love you, no matter what happens with us in the future. I love you now and forever”

Kyle Calloway was the all American boy next door. He had the fast car and EVERYONE in school thought he was HOT. Including his BFF Nell. It just took her a little while to figure it out. Kyle done everything he could to make her happy. He planned the perfect first time, never pressured her. He was everything a teenage gal could want. When he and Nell turned 18 he planned a special weekend for them. He had their lives planned out. Or so he thought

“Don’t leave me.” I barely heard my own voice

“I…I don’t want to,” he whispered. “I love you. I love you.” Those were the only words he seemed to know, now. He repeated them over and over, and I said them back, as if those three words could hold him here on earth, hold him to life.

Colton Calloway is mysteriously sexy. Soul spearing sapphires eyes, tattoos, and TERRIFYING. He was every bit as broken as Nell. That’s why they are so great together. He doesn’t sugar coat anything. He is just THERE for her when she needs him. He knows better than anyone the pain that she is going through. He has his own tragedy to over come. They find love with each other through music and their pain for the past.

“I can tell you what I see. I can tell you what I know about you. I can tell you how I feel. I can’t show you what you really are. But arguing with you won’t accomplish anything. I think we’ve both had our share of people trying to fix us. It doesn’t work. We can only fix ourselves. Let ourselves heal.”

I can’t say enough about how much I LOVED this book really. It’s RARE to find that one book that affects you on such a personal level that you just feel so LOST and HURT . I’m hoping ( OK PRAYING ) that she will make this into a series or at least make a second book. I feel like I didn’t get to see Colton or Nell’s happily ever after. After what they have been through. THEY DESERVE IT !

“I’m not just falling in love with you, Nell. I’m falling into you. You’re an ocean, and I’m falling in, drowning in the depths of who you are. Like you said, it’s scary in a way, but it’s also the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced. You are the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.”

New Adult
Date to be Published: March 19, 2013

Book Blurb:

Brooke Wright has only two goals her senior year at Charity Run High School: stay out of trouble and learn to forgive herself for the past. Forgiveness proves elusive, and trouble finds her anyway when she discovers a secret club at school connected to the death of her best friend. She learns that swim team members participate in a “Fantasy Slut League,” scoring points for their sexual acts with unsuspecting girls.

Brooke, wracked with guilt over her friend’s death, decides to infiltrate the league by becoming one of the “unsuspecting girls,” and exact revenge on the boys who stole away her best friend. An unexpected romance complicates her plans, and her dogged pursuit of justice turns her reckless as she underestimates just how far the boys will go to keep their sex club a secret.
(This is a New Adult fiction book with mature themes.  It contains explicit language and descriptions of sexual violence.)

Excerpt:

I left the bathroom in a hurry, turning the corner for the foyer and slamming into him. The force of the hit was so great that I stumbled backwards, nearly falling on my bottom if not for his outstretched hand. I grabbed it before going down and wobbled on my too-high heels, clutching him as I worked to regain my balance.
“God, I’m sorry!” he exclaimed.
I looked at his face then, unprepared to see something so beautiful. I think I gasped. And then I averted my eyes out of sheer embarrassment.
“I really should watch where I’m going,” he said.
He still held my hand, and I let him. I couldn’t remember who I was or where I was going. I couldn’t remember where I had just been. I only knew that a very cute boy . . . no, he was more than cute. He was gorgeous. This very gorgeous boy was holding my hand, and I had only one thought. I wanted to make our handholding more intimate. I wanted to lace my fingers with his.
“I think I should,” I mumbled.
I chanced another look at him. I made a conscientious effort not to gasp as I took in his light blue eyes. I’d never seen eyes that color. Jared Leto had nothing on this guy’s eyes, and Jared’s eyes were the color of the Mediterranean. No, the eyes I looked into now were so light blue they looked translucent. I thought if I stared a little longer I could see right inside his head, to his brain, and I don’t know why that turned me on so much. I wanted to witness the workings of his mind, the firing synapses, information traveling safely inside neurons to different parts of his body. A few made it to his hand, and they must have told him to keep holding mine because he didn’t let go.
I stared shamelessly, licking my lips at one point. He stared back just as boldly. I wanted him to like what he saw. I wanted him to think I was sexy. I wanted him to feel the same instant attraction I did. I’d never felt it before. Not really. Not even with Finn. It was unsettling, and I wondered how people functioned after being smacked upside the head with it. Instant. Physical. Chemical.
Primal.
Just rip my clothes off, I thought. Just rip my clothes off and do me right here in the hallway!
He smiled and released my hand. I thought he did it reluctantly, like his brain ordered him to and he finally acquiesced. I smiled back, a flirty grin. I pulled my ponytail forward over my shoulder and played with the strands. I bit my lower lip. And then reality came crashing down like a hailstorm, large lumps of ice banging my head and screaming at me in unison.
“YOU’RE AT A FUNERAL!”
I looked at the gorgeous guy, and my face went white.
“Oh my God,” I whispered.
He stared at me for a moment before saying, “Are you okay?”
I shook my head and started towards the sanctuary doors. He followed behind.
“I’m awful, I’m awful, I’m awful,” I whispered over and over. I didn’t care if he could hear.
What the hell was I doing? Trying to flirt with a guy at my best friend’s funeral? How could I even forget for a second that I was at a funeral? I was supposed to be carrying around heavy, black sorrow to match my black dress and black heart, not batting lashes and fantasizing about sex with a stranger. Was I so ridiculous that a hot guy could make me forget to have any kind of decency? Or shame?
I rounded the corner and saw my mother waiting for me. And then I ran to her, threw myself into her arms, and burst into a fit of tears.
“Brooklyn,” she whispered, holding me in a tight hug. “It’s okay,” she cooed as she stroked my hair.
“I’m a terrible friend!” I wailed. I saw the fuzzy outline of a boy walking past us tentatively through the doors.
“No, you aren’t,” my mother replied.
“Yes, I am! I don’t even know why I’m here! Beth hated my guts! She wouldn’t talk to me all summer!”
“Brooke,” Mom said. “I want you to calm down. Now, we talked about this. You knew it would be hard, but she was your best friend for all those years. Do you think she wouldn’t have wanted you here?”
“No, I don’t!” I cried.
“Yes, she would,” Mom said. “Now we have to go in.”
“I can’t!”
“Brooke, Beth was your best friend,” Mom said, trying for patience.
“No she wasn’t! Not after what I did! I ruined everything! I’m a freaking slut!” I sobbed, shaking my head from side to side.
“Sweetheart, don’t say words like ‘freaking’ and ‘slut’ in a church,” Mom replied.
I only sobbed louder.
“You can do this,” Mom encouraged.
I stood my ground, shaking my head violently, refusing to go in.
“Brooklyn Wright!” Mom hissed, pushing me away and grabbing my upper arm. She squeezed too tightly, and I squeaked in discomfort. There was no more tenderness in her voice. “Get yourself together. This isn’t about you. So stop making it about you. You’re going into that sanctuary and you’re going to pay your respects to your friend, and you’re going to make it about Beth. Do you understand me?”
I swallowed hard and wiped my face.
“Do you understand me?” Mom repeated.
I nodded grudgingly, and she took my hand, leading me through the doors.

*Guest Posting by Toni* Shadow Throught Time Book #3 - Glimmer in Maelstrom by Louise Cusack

Glimmer in the Maelstrom (Shadow through Time, #3)

Book Blurb:

GLIMMER IN THE MAELSTROM is the third and final novel in the “Shadow Through Time” fantasy trilogy. It follows the fate of the young Catalyst, Glimmer who has strayed far from her destiny to join the four elemental worlds the Maelstrom is tearing apart. An accidental touch of the Plainsman Memory Stone infects her with emotions for the first time in her life. Glimmer’s analytical judgement is instantly distorted and her sudden and desperate attachment to the coldest of the nobles, Kert Sh’hale prompts her to abduct him. They travel to the Fireworld of Haddash where her clumsy seduction, unwelcome by Kert, allows the Serpent of Death’s son to escape.

Glimmer’s mother Khatrene and her Guardian lover Talis struggle under the rule of Khatrene’s White Twin brother King Mihale who has been compassionless and perverse since his revival from death on the airworld of Atheyre. The only other remaining Guardian, Pagan, hopes to rekindle his betrothal to Lae, their new religious leader, but her grief at the loss of her son and her husband seems too great a barrier to cross.

On the waterworld of Magoria (our Earth) the son of Pagan and Sarah who was left behind as duty called Pagan back to Ennae – Vandal – has turned into a young man. When tragedy steals Vandal’s future his bitterness toward his father for abandoning him becomes deadly as he uses his own Guardian power to follow Pagan into Ennae to exact revenge, intent on destroying the one thing his father loves most.

Overshadowing all is the Maelstrom, inexorable, relentless, pouring elements from one world into another, causing destruction and death on an unprecedented scale. The cetaceans of Magoria and the Cliffdwellers of Ennae have ascended to the airworld of Atheyre, but those races who remain are in the deepest peril.

In the end, Glimmer must overcome her own selfish desires to follow her destiny, giving up everything she holds dear to fight the Serpent of Death and steal a future for the remnants of mankind.

Toni's Review:

I received this book from the author for a truthful and honest review.

Fantasy is my favorite genre!

In this installment we follow Glimmer through her journey to connect the Four Worlds.

Although it is her destiny to do this, Glimmer makes a different decision than she has through all her previous attempts which is maddening to her and shocking to everyone else. I'm so in love with her younger Brother Vandal, who has inherited the Guardian gift from his Dad Talis. I know that's just WRONG, but it is the TRUTH!!! As I was reading the ending I could not stop the smile and giggle that erupted!!! I very much enjoyed this series!!!

This series is a great series for young girls.  They can see a powerful heroine which is not common among literature.  We are very accustomed to a powerful hero but a powerful heroine isn't the norm.   It is nice to see a strong female role.  Hoping that more readers will take a chance with this amazing trilogy !!

 PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY:
One of my earliest memories is of seeing Armstrong and Aldrin walk on the moon on our grainy black and white television in 1969. While my siblings ran around the yard playing, I spent the whole day lying on my lounge room floor watching my wildest dreams come true - humans walking on another world. I was in awe of the event, and I remember it distinctly. It was the first time in my life that I thought I might like to be anything other than a writer. Although in those days there wasn't much question that a 'girl' would get to do anything exciting with her life. Not in Brisbane in the Sixties. So time passed and I went back to telling my class-mates that one day they were going to see a book with my name on the cover.
Another 'peak experience' in my life was when a Russians in Space exhibit visited our town. The show was in a big tent with all the exhibits behind rope cordons, but I begged, and the man running it let me slip past the barrier when no one else was looking so I could touch one of the sputniks that had orbited Earth. I can't begin to describe what it felt like to lay my fingers onto that pockmarked surface and know it had been in the vacuum of space - where I wanted to go. I get goose-bumps still, just thinking about it.
My elder brother's obsession with Science Fiction was another important factor in my development as a writer. Everything he read, I read. Asimov, Heinlein, Herbert, E.E.'Doc' Smith. When I was thirteen, he started sneaking pornography home and I was 'borrowing' that as well, taking it under my mosquito net at night with a torch. Perhaps that's how I developed a fascination for the psychology of sex - why people become obsessed with the object of their desire and how lust twists lives.
My family life was suburban, middle-class. When I go home to Brisbane now, summer still smells the same way as it did when I was a kid. We had a mountain near us that we used to climb - Peg's Mountain - which is still a reserve. I went there a lot with my brothers, we'd disappear for the whole day and come back for dinner. I remember Guy Fawkes night vividly and still find fireworks to be a magical thing. When I was eight I was in love with Prince Planet. When I was thirteen I fell hard for Captain James T. Kirk. He was my first big crush and I've never quite gotten over him.
In my teens I forgot about writing and started 'living' instead. I hung around with my tribe, a group of six girls who still keep in touch. We partied and had opinions - I felt very passionate about politics then. In my twenties I was an activist, first in the peace movement, and then with a big-time commitment to Animal Liberation. I protested outside rodeos with placards like "Real men don't rope baby calves", and did a lot of work towards educating people about animal experimentation. I became a vegetarian then and married.
By thirty I'd had children and I've been passionate about motherhood ever since. However, shortly after the birth of my last child I realised that the odd restlessness which had begun when my father died years earlier, wasn't going away. I went back to working part-time but that wasn't it. The problem was writing. I'd somehow forgotten that I was going to be a writer. I remembered then and I began.
For years I typed every day until I found characters who would tell me their stories, rather than me having to 'make them up'. Finally that happened and I started to get published. I don't pretend to understand the alchemy that occurs when people appear fully-formed in your mind to tell you about their lives, but I'm very grateful that it happens to me and that I'm able to share it with others. I adore the voyage of discovery that drags you along with your characters to see how a story ends. Each new day finds me in front of the computer doing what I love best, drinking heaps of coffee and creating like a mad thing.
Who needs drugs when you can write!

GIVEAWAY, Review and Author Posting for Keeping Secrets in Seattle by Brooke Moss

Book Blurb:
Seattle hairstylist Violet Murphy always knew the day would come when her
best friend Gabe Parker would want to settle down. She’d secretly wished
it would be with her, but now that he’s chosen someone else—the prim,
perfect Alycia—he wants Vi to be his best man.

Healing her broken heart isn’t easy, but when Violet meets Landon Harlow,
a man who isn’t fazed by her funky style and less-than-delicate attitude,
she takes a step in the right direction. Until Gabe’s fiancé’s gorgeous
façade begins to crack, and Violet’s disturbing past comes back to haunt
her, that is. Vi now finds herself armed with a series of lies that would
break Gabe’s heart—and his engagement—if he knew their truth, and a
secret from their childhood that could change everything.

With the wedding looming, her relationships unraveling, and the bachelor
party of the century to plan, Violet must choose between a fresh start with
Landon, or confronting her painful past and risking it all for a chance at a
future with Gabe.

Angie J's Review:

I received this ARC Book from the author for a truthful review.

I don't know where to start.  I loved this book to the point I was unable to put it down.  I went to bed late after reading over half in one night AND getting up extra early to finish it the next day.  While reading this book I was soooo conflicted for Vi.  I know she loves Gabe but but but he loves a total mega, fake, phoney beeotch Alicia.  Vi  has loved him since she has known Gabe which is since Kindergarten.  You get the feeling Gabe has some "feelings" for Vi but he isn't ready to admit them????  Anyway Vi finally meets an amazing guy (on paper) and Landon does a great job being her distraction.  I was really torn...do I want Vi to move the heck on with Landon because he adores her and would be an amazing husband or does she risk everything to try and be with Gabe....seriously I think I was developing an ulcer.....I really didn't know what I wanted to happen at the end.  I mean Gabe is GABE but Landon is LANDON........I know I am rambling and you people are like "So what the hell buy the book or not?"  Trust me...BUY THE BOOK.  I can't really talk about the story because if I do I will totally give away all the amazing excitement/stress/tension/ etc of the story.

My favorite scene was Gabe's bachelor party.  I loved how well Vi knows this man.  My least favorite scene was when Gabe announces his engagement.  I thought it was pretty douchey of him to not share this news with his "best friend".  I have to mention any scene with Vi's roommates are hilarious.  They definitely show Vi what true friends are  and support her like a real life friend would.  Do they agree with her choices?  Not all the time BUT they are there when she needs them no matter what.  That is the definition of a good friend.  Now Cameron...Cameron....Cameron.....Cameron.....lets just say I believe you will understand my reluctance to speak about him but YEAH GABE!!!  Wanna know what the hell I am talking about?  Read the book!!!

Ok so I know alot of people hate epilogues but I love them.  To me they can complete a story and let you in on the HEA.  This was a great epilogue and we even get a peek at what has happened to everyone....Cameron, Gabe, Vi, And Alicia.........

 Interview with the Author:

Hi Brooke and welcome to our crazy blog.  So we have a couple “hard hitting” questions (snort),  Are you game?  GREAT!!

Ok so when reading the book “Keeping Secrets in Seattle” I fell in love with Vi and Gabe’s fun and easy going relationship.  But when Landon entered the picture I was sooo happy for Vi even though I loved Gabe.   What celebrities would you cast to play these people in a motion picture?

 Oh, I love this question! Violet would be played by Scarlett Johannson;

 Gabe would be played by Jesse Williams;

 Alicia would be played by Alica Witt;

and Landon would be played by a very young David Beckham.

What authors do you read when you have the time?

Kristan Higgins is one of my favorites! I also like Meggan Connors, Lauren Oliver, Nyrae Dawn, and Tammara Webber.

If you could pick any novel to be a New York Times Best Seller, which would it be?  It can be past, present or future novels?

Um.............Keeping Secrets in Seattle. Or possibly any one of my books. :)

When you write do you plot or fly at the seat of your pants?

It depends on the book. I start off as a pantser, but if I wind up struggling somewhere, I will stop and very loosely plot things out. I never go so far as to have story boards and backgrounds on all of my characters. They have to decide all that for themselves.

If you could meet any author for “pick their brain session”, who would it be?

Probably Tammara Webber. I've already met Kristan Higgins, and I was so star struck that I couldn't get through the conversation without acting like a moron, so I likely won't attempt it again. Tammara and I have tweeted a few times, and she's very chill and fun. I think she'd make a kick butt lunch date.

Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us.  We look forward to reading more of you in the future!!!

"I write because if I don't...my head will explode, and ruin the drapes." ♥

Brooke Moss is the name, contemporary romance, fantasy YA, and women's fiction are the game.

Brooke writes complex, character-driven stories about kismet, reunited lovers, first love, and the kind of romance that we should all have the chance at finding. She prefers her stories laced with some humor just for fun, and enough drama to keep her readers flipping the pages, and begging for more!

When Brooke isn't spinning tales, she spends her time drawing/cartooning, reading two books a week (ask her who her faves are), watching movies then comparing them to books, and, of course, wrangling four kids, one hubby she lovingly refers to as her "nerd", and attempting to conquer the Mount Everest of laundry that is the bane of her existence.
