Don't Let Go by Michelle Lynn

Don't Let Go

Blurb:

Sadie Miller is attempting to change her ways and hide somewhere no one knows her former self. She only wants to finish her final year of college, obtain her degree, and get out from the hold of her affluent parents. Then she meets Brady Carsen, the lead singer of The Invisibles, a local band popular with the college crowd. She tries to stay away but quickly realizes that, although he might not be what she’s used to, he’s exactly what she needs and more importantly, everything she could possibly want.
Unfortunately, Sadie’s troubled past left her with insecurities that make her question Brady’s true intentions. And while Brady is convinced that Sadie is the one for him, he has his own secrets that he fears will be their undoing. If they want to be together, they will have to stand united and fight the outside influences that are threatening to tear them apart. Can they put their pasts behind them for good in order to secure their future?

Meet Brady
Now I betchya wanna read the book!!!  LOL

Angie J's Review:

I got this book from the author for an honest review.

AHHHH I want more BRADY!! I can't stop reading him. His story was to short and ended abruptly in my opinion. I was sooo excited and turned the page to see it is over...sniff sniff...I want more!!

Ok so this book is about 2 people with baggage...like crazy sad baggage. Sadie blames herself for the death of a loved one while Brady hides his family secret ashamed of what people will think.

The two meet at a bar when Brady's band is read to go on stage. He didnt stalk her per say but when he saw he he went out of his way to meet her. She totally blew him off in a major way. WELLLLL, like I said not a stalker but, Brady tracked her down and made her realize she was his. The two begin to date but Sadie knows that once she has relations with him, he will be gone like every other guy she knows. Brady knows something is up and wont push her but they are both head over heals. When she is drunk and says " i love you theo" while Brady holds her, yeah he insists she break the wall.

Brady and Sadie move is a great direction until she takes Brady home to meet Mom and dad. Dad is a jerk and mom is "polite" but her grandma is a RIOT!! gotta love a cougar Grandma!! LOL Well some drama at home makes Sadie and Brady leave.

They continue their relationship but Brady is hiding secrets. When Sadie finally figures them out, Brady tried to push her away. The 2 are so perfect for each other but are so scared to hurt the other. With the help of friends and even family the two have a great ending.

My favorite scenes are when Brady describes how they will spend their "first time" and all that will happen....it was very hawt. i also loved when Brady was "Sad" Sadie didnt have on white when they went to Niagara Falls. He wanted to see a wet t-shirt show. I had to laugh. The two of them have such a fun and amazing relationship.

I cannot wait for Grant's book!!!

Author/Character Interview:

***Angie J is walking in to Aces and looks all around.  She scans the crowd and see HIM , Does a little swoon and then straightens her skirt and fluffs her hair.  She walks over to the table and says**
Angie J :  Hi Brady *Blushes* and Hello Michelle.  Thanks soooo much for agreeing to the interview.  *Looking at Brady* I know you have a show in a few so I will make this really quick, K?  So my first Question is to you Brady.  I am gonna start with  the big guns.  When did you realize you were in love with Sadie?

“Um…” he stares over to Sadie at the bar with Jessa and turns back to Angie, “when I first heard her voice at that house bar.” He smiles widely as though he’s remembering the moment.  “When I touched her, I am pretty sure it hit me right then. When she opened her mouth, I was done.” He starts laughing, “I know sappy shit but when it happens, it happens.”

Angie j: Michelle, I am sooo thrilled you contacted my blog to post some teasers because I would have missed out on this awesome book.  When do you think Grant’s book will be out??

Michelle and Brady exchange a look.  Brady smirks and Michelle giggles.  “Grant’s story is finished, just needs some polishing,” Michelle says. “Most likely October some time. Hopefully before Halloween.” They both begin to laugh obviously remembering Brady and Sadie’s Halloween escapade and Angie joins in being a part of the inside joke.

Angie J.:  Brady, How are the new living arrangements going?  *wink wink* And do you like having Grant back in your life????

“Oh, the new living arrangements. Could be better if there weren’t so many of us but I definitely can’t complain every night when I go to bed,” he gives Angie his signature wink.
“As far as Grant back in my life…to be honest, I missed him.  We or I should say I wasted too many years holding that grudge.  But it’s like our friendship didn’t skip a beat.  I still have to smack him upside his head to knock some sense into it and he’s still saving me.” The smile on his face is evident he’s happy to have his best friend back by his side.

Angie J:  Michelle, What is your writing process?  So you plot or are you a pantser?
Michelle sits up a little straighter, locking her fingers together and rests them on the table. “Pantser for sure. In my first book, I changed the whole storyline after the first chapter.  I try to let my mind wonder and when it hits me I get giddy with excitement. Although, sometimes I think I should be a plotter.  Being a pantser can sometimes mean you have to go back and adjust something in the storyline.” Then she relaxes back into the booth.

Angie J: Brady last question for you cuz I know you have to go but do your show but Kara…what are we going to do with this girl?  Seriously I wanted to kick her butt FOR Sadie.
“Kara…” he releases a deep breath.  “She’s young and impressionable.” Brady looks back over to Sadie and then turns Angie’s way again. “Let’s just say, she’s not a problem right now. After everything with Sadie, she’s been keeping her distance.” Angie doesn’t miss his nervous reaction, imagining her causing more trouble.

Angie J:  Michelle last question so you can give Grant your attention…here goes…if you could meet with any author (dead or alive) and pick their brain who would you pick????
“Okay…tough one,” Michelle laughs. “Honestly, I would love to pick every authors brain.  I feel as though each one of us is unique. Maybe because I’m new to this and Don’t Let Go is only my second book but I would have so many questions for any author. Their writing structure, character development and story content. With saying that, I enjoy picking the brains of readers too.  I love hearing what they enjoyed, what they didn’t and their reactions to the characters of all books, not just mine. Everyone has their own opinions on a book, that’s what makes it great.”

Angie J: I want to thank you both for the time you gave me.  I can’t wait to hang out with you more in the next coming book (s).  Have a great night…oh Brady wait!!  Can you do something for me? *Flips my middle finger in the air*  give that to Rob !!
Brady bends over, holding his stomach in a fit of laughter.  “I think Trey would agree with you there, as well as a few more of our friends,” he smirks.  “Let’s hope Jessa figures out what an asshole he is,” he finishes, raising his eyebrows in question.
Once Michelle can control herself from her own uncontrollable giggling, she smiles and holds out her hand to Angie. “Thank you for having us both.  This was a blast,” she says, shaking Angie’s hand.

About the Author:

Michelle Lynn has always been a reader, but her passion has become a full-blown addiction since her husband bought her a Kindle for Mother's Day. She's pretty sure that he regrets this on a regular basis. Especially when she has it propped up next to the stove while she cooks, which often results in a burnt dinner. Or when he loses sleep because the glow from the screen wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the morning. He does agree, however, that she uses this gift more than any other he has ever gotten her. She joking counters that, because of some of the steamy novels she reads, he also benefits more from this gift than any other he has gotten her. ;)

Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.
