Kassern by Azure Boone

Archangels Creed --Kassern

Book Blurb:

Twelve Archangels.

Twelve couples.

Twelve months.

Can they create the Holy Warriors needed to prevent the demon-spawned abominations from destroying the world.

Let the Summoning Begin.

****

Satan has found a loophole in the rules that govern his battle against Good. The Archangel Uriel sends twelve Warrior Archangels to Earth on a mission to even the odds.

Each Archangel has one month to find a couple, unite them, and use their union’s power to create the Holy Warriors needed to defend the world against Satan’s unholy creations.

But the mission isn’t so simple when inheriting Humanity comes with challenges beyond the Angel’s training, and every milestone in the couple’s relationship effects the triumvirate’s strength.

Angie J's Review:

OK so I have to start by saying I enjoy Paranormal so I was excited to read one because I have been very busy reading other types of books. I started reading this book Friday night and couldn't put it down!!!! I was so involved with the story line and the characters. Who in their right mind would want to make a celibate preacher's son fall in love with a stripping whore??? and who would buy it??? *raises hand* MEEEE!!!!!
The characters in the story and the plot: I loved the story line of Troy and Devyn. I also enjoyed the whole premise of the series...Satan finding a loop whole to take over the world.God will send down 12 angels to find a couple and make them fall in love in order to help save the world. They each have 1 month to succeed. Kassern was the first Archangel to try. I felt for all the characters but especially fell for Devyn. Devyn has been through alot and seen alot yet remained a good person who wants to help her friend. Troy, who is very shelter in comparison to her, feels so bad and wants to rescue her. Kassern and his unsuspecting lady love have a great story line and I was like HELLO Kassern feel free to try and help me outta a bad situation as well!!!
I would totally recommend this book because I thought it was a great beginning. The story building was easy to understand except for one part I was a little bit confused.....talking about the Lab and the experiments.....kinda unsure about it but I believe these "creatures" will be part of the bad things that will be chasing the angels who are trying to save the world. So anyway, IF you like Paranormal and if you are looking for some yummy, uber hawt angel "naughty time" then you prolly wanna try these books!!!

The Magick of Christmas by Susan Mac Nicol

The Magick of Christmas
Book Blurb:
A young London witch discovers the one magic more powerful than her own: love and desire in the Christmas season.
Angie J's review:
What a sweet, short Christmas story. I cant say this is a Paranormal story because even though Stacey is a witch there is minimal Paranormal story present. I love Paranormal so I was excited and willing to read.

Ok so this story is about little witch Stacey and she isnt a bad witch but a good GLenda the good witch girl. She has the hots for a guy at the coffee shop line but doesnt think she is cute enough for his attentions. Anyway she goes to work and BANG hot guy is a client. She goes against her better judgement and casts a LITTLE spell on him to be attracted to her. She hands himn a folder and BOOM spell works.....He asked her out. YEAH!!!! Ok so I cant tell everything and believe me there is plenty to tell *wink wink*.

The hot guy is names Nick. He is nice, hawt and a geek....go nerds! I married one and am one myself so yay nerds!! Nick has a little secret for Stacey that you find out about and no I wont spoiler here. It was a nice little twist for the short story.

I thought this was a sweet Christmas story and was just a nice story to read in about 30 minutes. Perfect for me when I am sitting at school and needing to kill a few minutes. All in all I liked the sweet story and would recommend it. Again you dont have to love Paranormal to like this story. The witch theme is light and very innocent.

Troubles and Treats by Tara Sivec

Troubles and Treats (Chocolate Lovers, #3)

Book Blurb:
Drew and Jenny have spent years being the envy of their friends with their out of control sex lives - well, not really. Mostly it makes their friends want to throw up in their mouths a little.

With two little kids and two busy lives, for the first time, Drew and Jenny aren't on the same page in the bedroom. Drew will stop at nothing to get his previously amorous wife back in the sack, and Jenny will do anything for a full night of sleep.

Carter and Claire, and Jim and Liz are their usual (un)helpful selves and are full of advice for the discontented duo, wanting nothing more than to help restore order to the usually happy couple's lives.

In the third and final installment of the Chocolate Lovers Series, will Drew and Jenny find the spark that's been missing in their marriage, or will the trouble they're having cause a stickier situation than the time Jenny poured honey all over Drew and he fused himself to a tree?

Angie E's ARC Review:

FREAKING OUTRAGEOUSLY FUNNY! Thank you Tara for such a great series. This is one of those books I’ll never forget. The details used to describe certain things and situations will forever be stuck in my head, some in good ways and some in nightmares. LOL. Not only do we get a closer look into Drew and Jenny’s world which lets face it is kind of SCARY, but we get to see our favorite characters and get a few updates on their lives. I will say that this book is by far the funniest. Which in my opinion makes it the perfect ending to a GREAT series. I will say I will miss all these characters and their personalities. I will miss mostly the JENNISMS. The ending was AWESOME and left me wondering…….will we see the gang again….. In my opinion…. I think we will. I think we will get a glimpse into the teenage years. Well I hope anyways (hint, hint TARA) =) . So this book delves into the lack of sex in Jenny and Drew’s marriage. It’s a real situation in most marriages so it’s definitely relatable. Most women reading this can totally see Jenny’s Point of View.  At times I wanted to smack Drew (which I’m sure we all have through out the series) and then there was times I totally seen what Jenny saw in him. He surprises me with his determination to put the spark back in their marriage. To sum it all up I’d definitely re-read this entire series, it’s great for all occasions. If you don’t pee yourself laughing then YOU have issues and should probably  get that checked out. =)

This hooker loved every page of this book. The word Spoop will never ever be forgotten for the rest of my life. If you have no clue then you havent read this book and you damn well better. I have never laughed as much as I did in this book. I say I laughed more in this book over the other 2 hands down and I LOVED them both as well.

Another of my favorites was Vagina Skittles....OMG I will never ever be able to look at skittles again without cracking up. My husband even thought that section was hilarious. However dum dums are also off the list of candy I will be using anytime soon in the bedroom or classroom as it was.....curious?? Wanna know what I mean? then stop reading this review and start downloading the book already!!!

This book was an amazing end to the series. I am so sad to say good bye to the gang but hope that if there is a Zombie Apocalypse they are all safe together with their families....holy hell I cant even type this without laughing. Seriously ever part of this book cracked me up from the begining to the *sniff* ending.

Excerpts

I thought it would be a bunch of arguing and pointing fingers about whose fault it is that we're not having sex anymore.

Maybe she doesn't think that's the problem, Shit, maybe that isn't the problem. Maybe it's just my problem. She's not faking a work injury, she's not cheating on me....what the hell else could it be? A few years ago she cut me off from sex for a week because I gave her a Dutch Oven in bed one night. While hilarious, it's never a good idea when your wife is naked and getting ready to mount you. There was another time when I gave her a Wet Willy when she started coming.

That wasn't meant to be hilarious, I read about it in Cosmo. When she locked me out of the bedroom I grabbed the magazine and realized two of the pages were stuck together- sex tips and practical jokes. Well played, Cosmo. Well played.

Fight for Me by Hayden Braeburn

Fight For Me (The Everetts of Tyler, #2)

Book Blurb:

Cassidy Everett planned on nursing her brother’s protector back to health and moving on, but when an old foe resurfaces, her plans change. Quickly.

Dylan Black may have been shot saving Mason Everett’s life, but that doesn’t mean he can’t protect his own–-and Cassidy is his whether or not she wants to admit it. His injuries don’t matter; all that matters is keeping his Cassie safe.

When the threats towards Cassidy turn lethal, will the fight to survive bring Cassidy and Dylan together or tear them apart?

Angie J's Review:
I was given this book and the first book to give an honest review of what i thopught about the books in the series.

OK where to begin? ? ?  This is the 2nd book in the series, however, it is written to be a stand alone.  I  would beg you to PLEASE spend the money to get the first book (did you see the buy link below???) and read it as well.  The first book is a big character builder and is a great read.  That book "Dance with Me" is where the hero/heroine of "Fight for Me" meet...if you really wanna know without reading book one, read the book blurb again ;)
OK Dylan Black is YUM, HAWT, DELICIOUS AND CAN I SAY YUMMY AGAIN??  Good.  He is total Alpha Male (hello Army Ranger man) and he is going to protect Cassidy from someone who wants her dead.  Cassidy is the traditional headstrong women who will not let some MAN tell her what to do...well thankfully she opens her eyes and ears to his ideas and advances *wink*. Both the books in the series are fast paced and well developed.  I really was shocked to finally find out who the "bad guy" is in the story.  I really thought I had it figured out and BANG I was wrong.  I have to say I am very very excited for the next book.  Caleb is one sexy doctor and I love who his love interest is.
For me, I have to say I love the family in the series.  The Everetts are a very "in each others business' kind of family.  They are supportive and helpful when their family needs it.  I enjoyed the dynamic the siblings and parents had with each other.  The family is a very influential part of the community but they are written to be very kind and compassionate souls instead of indulged and privileged brats!!
