DEFENSIVE ZONE BY BIANCA SUMMERLAND

                                                                       BOOK BLURB:

Defensive Zone (The Dartmouth Cobras, #2)Silver Delgado has gained control of The Dartmouth Cobras—and lost control of her life. Hockey might be the family business, but it's never interested Silver. Until her father's health decline thrusts responsibility for the team he owns straight into her hands. Now she has to find a way to get the team more fans, and establish herself as the new owner. Which means standing up to Dean Richter, the general manager and the advisor her father has forced on her. The fact that their 'business relationship' started with her over his lap at his BDSM club shouldn't be too much of a problem. Their hot one night stand meant nothing! But how can she earn his respect when he sees her as submissive? Can they separate work and the lifestyle she's curious to explore? Balancing her new life away from Hollywood, living among people who see her as the selfish Delgado princess, has her feeling lost and alone until Landon Bower, the Cobras new Goalie slips into her life and becomes her best—and only—friend. The time they spend together makes everything else bearable, but before long his eyes meet hers with more than friendship, reflecting what she feels. Which could ruin everything. Two Dominant men who see past her pretty mask and the shallow image she portrayed to the flashing cameras. A gentle attack from both sides that she can't hope to block unless she learns how to play. But she's getting the hang of the game.

ANGIE E'S REVIEW:

So I’m going to start this off by saying…..I FREAKING LOVE SILVER….She’s so bratty that she kept me wanting to read more just to see what she’d smart off next. I loved the start of the book getting to see the wedding/collaring/marking ceremony of Oriana, Max, Sloan, and Dominik. I hate that the relationship between Silver and Oriana has gone so sour. Silver takes on her new role as owner and has some struggles. After making a HUGE mistake her father makes Dom Dean Richter a co owner. Silver is determined more than ever to prove herself to her father and everyone else. Dean notices Silver at the wedding and is interest d from the minute she walked into his club trying to play a SUB with her 2 boyfriends. After watching her get into some trouble he realizes she is in need of a punishment with Dean will deliver. Silver and Dean try to maintain their professional relationship HOWEVER those needs get in the way. Silver and Dean so SOOOOOO SEXY together… HOT, HOT, HOT. On the other hand Silver also meets Landon who preformed her aftercare at the club and has made a NEW FRIEND. After spending more and more time together maintaining that friendship becomes HARD (no pun intended) to do. Dean knows he loves her and will do anything for her including sharing her with Landon. When they all 3 finally get together. WOW!!!!! SMOKING HOT!!!!! I love all the turns and twist in this book. You can never know whats gonna happen next. I’m so happy that Silver got her HEA. I’m TOTALLY PISSED OFF at Mr. Delgado. BUT….Again I have to say HOCKEY has never been so sexy. Another well written book and Bianca’s hockey knowledge is totally WOWING me…. I’m actually thinking ( YES I’M THINKING) I might like to watch a hockey game………Wonder if they are all as sexy as Dean, Landon, Max, Sloan, and Dominik ? OH back to my review. HIGHLY recommend this series. This was the 2nd book and I LOVED it more than the first…..At this rate I’m stoked to read Breakaway. I’m sure it will be just as good as the other 2. GREAT JOB BIANCA………………..I think you have turned me into a “PUCK BUNNY” !

Escalation Clause

Book Blurb:
Young love burns hot and bright. Soul mates are found, then lost in the blink of an eye. When young widow Maureen Gordon Taylor meets her daughter's sexy soccer coach, her body and heart slowly unthaw. But will holding tight to the past cost her a future?

A devastating blow shatters a family's fragile happiness. Rob Freitag and Lila Warren now confront life without the emotional glue that once bound them, but a shared goal brings them back together. Is it enough to make them whole again and become the family they were meant to be?

Mutual trust is hard won for the Gordons. When tragedy strikes, Jack and Sara’s lives are sent into a tailspin. To keep her family from falling apart, she must force Jack to admit his deepest fears. After everything they’ve been through, can they revive the spark and move to the next stage of marital fulfillment?

The sweeping saga of the Stewart Realty series continues as long-time friends learn to rely on each other, and to grab hold of happiness before it's too late

Angie J's Review:

Ok where the heck do I start??? DONT READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOKS 1-5!!!!!  Ok now thats outta the way.......This book is probably the best in the series for a multitude of reasons. I love going back in time to see a young Jack and his friends. I loved getting to know Brandis as a young man and meet/court (behind Jack's back ) Mo. I think the introduction of Rafe was great too because he is sooo stubborn like the Gordon family so he will definately have to hold his own!!

I love that Liz keeps the future story lines up and fresh. We still have some Jack and Sara drama because they are both so much alike that they cant open up fully to the other. Do I need to discuss the Shannon scene...ugh Sara!!!! We get to see Rob and Lila dealing with the loss of Blake. We get to see a bit of Kyle and Shannon's story and Evan and Julie's story developing as well. (Pitter patter goes my heart at the mention of Kyle.) This book has alot of plots going but never to many to be confusing. This book in the series is doing a great job begining to wrap up the "family" and start the kids books. Speaking of the kids, I am sooo very excited after the epilogue's secrets about Gabe...SQUEEEE...dont wanna spoiler anything to anyone but OMG killer!!! Which anyone who reads Liz's books know that her epilogues are amazing!!!!!!!

I have to say my favorite scenes were the fighting with baby/toddler boys Brandis and Gabe....frenemies for sure !! However my favorite "adult scene" was definately the wax scene. This was a great scene where Sara takes control and as we know Jack isnt a fan of losing control.....nicely done there Ms. Crowe...niiicely done!! Ok and I must admit I did get the giggles when Jack was telling Mo about what she will and wont be doing with Rafe toward the end of the booki...classic scene for a Gordon family member.

Ok so again I find myself rambling but seriously this series is sooooo amazing I just cant not talk about it or promote it. The books get better and better. If you havent tried a book your need to. You will not be dissappointed...angry and irritated but never dissappointed in her books!

Fan Girl moment with Author Liz Crowe

Ok, many of you who follow or read our blog know I am a uber Liz fan.  I was introduced to her books by a dear friend Cyn and haven't looked back.  I was so excited to be apart of her first hometown book signing, book reading, and Q and A session.  I got my local book club girls to take the 6 hours drive to Ann Arbor, this past weekend, to be a part of her 6th book release for Escalation Clause.

Liz was such a gracious host as was her publisher Beth-Ann.  We met them at the Tap Room located in the Wolverine Brewing Company.  We got to take a tour of her brewery which was cool since she writes all about beer and brewing so now some things made a lot of sense.  After we hung out and had some delicious beer before getting taken all around Ann Arbor to see the sights of the book.  We saw the Penthouse where Jack and Sara first met. The Chop Shop where they had dinner. The Ark where Craig and Suz had a few dates. The ICE CREAM place that little Katie loved and I can agree and tell you to how great it was.....We also got to see a few new sights that will be in her newest release.  We ate dinner at the Prickly Pear and saw Vinology plus an alley where Liz says "some stuff will happen" *wink*.

Dinner was so fun because we sat with another fan from Canada, her hubby, Liz's mom and Beth-Ann.  The drinks were flowing as was the conversation.  We got this free access time to talk about the books, her characters and what drives her to do what she does.  It was so amazing getting this one on one time from her and seeing her personality show through in her characters.

The day of the signing was such a blur.  My friends and I retoured the sights taking pictures this time....DUH ANGIE.  After,  we went to the book store and made sure to buy our copies of the new book from this store.  You gotta remember to support the local/indie bookstores too peps!!  :)  When the reading began, we were all giggles because its fun to remember those first few moments with a character plus the first time Jack and Sara meet it is pretty intense and funny.  After the reading, Liz answered any and all questions from books, characters, to information about independent publishing.  When we were all done back to the tap room we went.  We got there and met a few local fans who skipped the signing but came to the Tap Room to meet and chat.  In fine form, Liz welcomed them to our table, took them on a tour of the brewery and chatted with them about anything they wanted to know.  How awesome and how amazing is that.

My entire weekend was so fun and amazing.  Liz was so happy and excited to have us drive all the way to meet her and get our books signed by her.  I think the one thing/memory I will take away from the weekend, besides a major hangover, is how happy, kind, compassionate, and genuine she is.  I look forward to traveling to Tennessee in June for Romfest 2013 to hang out with her and other Realtor fans as well. So to wrap up my blabbering about how AMAZING Liz is please pick up a copy of her books...The Stewart Realty is the book that the release party was being held.  The 6th book in the series is out.  I can tell you this series is emotional and will leave you raw at times but very worth the investment!!!  If emotional reading isn't your things, then try her Turkish Delights series.  Some of her stand alones are Cheeky Blonde, Paradise Hops and Vegas Miracle.  I can tell you Paradise Hops is a great story but VERY emotional where Cheeky Blonde is a fun mystery book.  Any book you buy of Liz's is going to be a great read that much I can promise you!!!
